The Mudgee Historical Society Inc. collects and displays items and documents pertaining to the history and culture of the Mudgee district, promotes its history, and provides a family history research service from its extensive archives.

The management committee of the Mudgee Historical Society Inc. meets at the Museum on the third Tuesday of each month, with the exception of December at 9am, members are welcome to attend.

Working bees are held at the Museum each Tuesday morning from 9.00am. New members are most welcome.

The Annual General Meeting is held in August; annual membership fees are due in July. Individual membership is $15 and a family membership is $30; a quarterly bulletin, The Muse, is dispatched to all members.
