Mudgee Museum

The Mudgee Historical Society was founded in 1964, and operated in rooms in part of the former Post Office Hotel on the south-eastern corner of Market and Perry Streets, Mudgee. In 1966 the former West End Hotel premises in Mudgee West were acquired as the Society’s museum and headquarters. Since then the site has been expanded and additional buildings have been constructed and re-located to the site to house the Society’s extensive collection of Australiana, all locally sourced.
