Photographs
The Mudgee Historical Society Inc. possesses an extensive collection of photographs and allows many of these to be copied and sold.
As with the Society’s written records and research, historic photographic records have been collected and catalogued since the foundation of the Society in 1964. We probably hold the largest collection of historic photos of Mudgee and district anywhere.
This includes historic photos of people, houses, events, streetscapes, landscapes, buildings, rural scenes, agriculture/farming, commerce and industry.
Much of the collection has been digitised. If you would like copies of photos, please contact our researchers using the form on the Contact Page and include as much detail as possible about what you are looking for. The researchers will let you know what photos may be relevant to your request.
A fee of $5 for each higher resolution digital image is charged to cover the Museum’s administrative costs. Alternatively, you can drop into the Museum, view the printed copies held in our photographic archives and request digital copies.
Aboriginal persons are advised that some photos in the Museum’s collection may contain images of persons who have died.
