Tamworth Historical Society Visit

The Mudgee Historical Society Inc was pleased to welcome a coach of members of the Tamworth Historical Society to the Colonial Inn Museum on this rather bleak Saturday at the end of autumn. The rain abated while the visitors could enjoy a sumptuous morning tea prepared by our volunteer members. The visit to the Museum was followed by a tour of historic Burrundulla homestead, courtesy of the Cox family. Unfortunately the coach became bogged on the way out and started listing like the Titanic so the group had to 'abandon ship'. Chris Cox came to the rescue with a tractor and the group reboarded for a guided coach tour of Mudgee.

Tour organisor Richard Hutt of Tamworth is a talented pianist who gave a performance in the Gulgong Opera House on the preceding Friday night to benefit CanAssist.Thank you Richard.
