Welcome to the Mudgee Museum, headquarters of the Mudgee Historical Society Inc.

Latest News

The Mudgee Museum Fair will be held Sunday, October 6th from 10am to 2pm.  We'll be hosting a number of special exhibits and demonstrations, including blacksmithing, spinning, lacemaking, calligraphy, and painting.  There will be displays of historic vehicles, including RFS Heritage Fire Trucks, and a demonstration of our recently donated Tractor and Baler.  The popular Magic Lantern Show will return featuring rarely seen slides of Mudgee.  Admission is by donation.  There will also be a sausage sizzle to enjoy, and our Garage Sale will operate during the Fair hours as well.

The Mudgee Historical Society is excited to announce that the Mudgee Colonial Inn Museum is being officially renamed the Mudgee Museum.  This new name makes it easier for visitors to the region to tell where we are located, and better reflects our mission to tell the story of Mudgee and the surrounding areas.  Look for the new name to be rolled out on signage, advertising, Facebook and this web page over the next few weeks!
